3D Ad Film for a Skincare Line
A skincare product in a heavy red mass, all of it computed rather than photographed. Made as an application piece, not as a commission.

Starting point
No brief, an application. I wanted to start at an agency and felt that a folder full of work for other people says less than one piece of work for them.
So I took a product from their own roster, a skincare line, and showed how I would handle it: not photographed but built. The application worked.
Approach
The tube lies in a heavy, glossy red mass that splashes up and settles again. All of it is computed, the liquid included.
That is the point where a simulation beats a shot. A liquid that holds exactly the shape you need at exactly the right moment takes luck and thirty attempts in front of a camera. In a simulation you wind it back, change one number and run it again until it sits.
Red on white, nothing else. A product meant to look medical does not tolerate a second colour.
Result
A free piece from spring 2020. Not a commission: the product comes from the roster of the agency I applied to with it.
